Roblizo Colmenero y José Antonio González-Calero acaban de publicar en la revista Teaching and Teacher Education el artículo «Towards a coordinated vision of ICT in education: A comparative analysis of Preschool and Primary Education teachers’ and parents’ perceptions».

• The integration of ICT in education is affected by parents’ and teachers’ perceptions.
• A comparative cross-sectional study was carried out with 62 teachers and 1002 parents.
• Perceptions in terms of attitudes, usage and beliefs were evaluated.
• Both teachers and parents have a positive perception towards ICT in schools.
• Results differed between pre- and elementary school and between parents and teachers.

Abstract
Currently, there is a growing demand from educational institutions for the introduction of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the teaching-learning process. However, the success of the projects aimed at achieving this purpose depends on how well teachers and parents accept this idea. This study analyses the perceptions of 62 teachers and 1002 parents in relation to the use of ICT in the teaching-learning process in terms of attitude, usage and beliefs. The results suggest a positive perception from both groups, with some significant differences observed both between teachers and parents, and at different educational levels.
